Privacy policy

What this site stores, what it loads from third parties, and what it does not collect. No accounts, no analytics, no cookies of its own.

This policy explains what this site stores, what it loads from third parties, and what it does not collect. Last updated 6 August 2026.

The short version: there is no account system and no backend, so the site itself collects nothing about you. The one exception is Google AdSense, which serves the ads on some pages and is a third party with its own data practices.

What this site stores

Everything you enter is kept in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is never transmitted, because there is no server to transmit it to — the site is a set of static files and all the logic runs in your browser.

  • custom-pomodoro-settings — your timer lengths, colours, icons and background.
  • pomodoro-activity-sessions — activities you have tracked on the dashboard.
  • pomodoro-focus-logs — completed focus blocks.
  • pomodoro-tools-alarms, -countdowns, -world-zones, -timesheet and related keys — alarms, saved countdowns, world-clock cities, timesheet rows, and your sound and display preferences.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. It uses local storage instead, which is not sent with network requests and is not shared with any other site.

The pages that carry advertising load Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may set their own cookies through it. Those cookies are outside this site's control and are covered by Google's policies rather than this one.

Advertising

Ads are served by Google AdSense on the home page, the individual tool pages and the FAQ. They are not shown on the focus timer, the full-screen clock, the activity dashboard and its reports, the About and Privacy pages, or error pages.

Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and third-party vendors and ad networks may serve ads on this site. Depending on your settings, Google may use previous visits to this or other sites to show personalised ads. This site receives no personal data back from Google — no advertiser or ad network is given access to anything you enter here, because none of it leaves your browser.

  • You can review and turn off ad personalisation at google.com/adsettings.
  • You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Google's own explanation of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Blocking cookies in your browser, or using an ad blocker, does not affect any of the tools — they run entirely locally.

Analytics

This site runs no analytics or tracking scripts of its own. There is no measurement of page views, sessions, clicks or scroll depth, and no visitor profiling.

Server logs

The site is served as static files by a hosting provider. Like effectively all web hosts, the provider records standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for delivery, security and abuse prevention. These logs are handled by the host under its own terms and are not combined with anything from the site or used to build a profile of you.

Browser permissions

  • Notifications — requested only when you set an alarm or start a timer, and used only to alert you on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere. You can revoke the permission in your browser at any time.
  • Screen Wake Lock — requested while an alarm or timer is pending, to stop the display sleeping through it. It transmits nothing and involves no data.
  • The site does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.

Children

This site is a general-purpose set of utilities and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because it collects no personal information at all.

Your control over your data

  • Export — the Data tab on the dashboard downloads everything stored, as JSON.
  • Delete — the same tab clears it. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes it too, as does using a private or incognito window.
  • Because nothing is stored on a server, there is no account to close and no request to make: deleting local storage is deletion, complete and immediate.

Changes to this policy

If what the site stores or loads changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the record.
