It is free and there is no paid tier, no trial and no feature held back. The site is funded by the display ads on the home page and the tool pages.
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no email capture anywhere on the site. Open a tool and use it.
In your browser's local storage, on your own device. That covers your timer settings, alarms, saved countdowns, world-clock cities and timesheet rows. There is no server to store it on, so nothing you enter is transmitted.
No, and it cannot — there is no account to sync through. This is the direct trade-off for storing nothing on a server. The Data tab on the dashboard exports everything as JSON if you want to move it manually.
Yes. Clearing site data or browsing history removes local storage, and private or incognito windows discard it when you close them. Export from the Data tab first if it matters to you.
We run no analytics or tracking scripts of our own. The pages that carry ads load Google AdSense, and Google may set cookies for ad measurement and personalisation — that is third-party behaviour governed by Google's policies, not something this site controls or receives data from.
Ads appear on the home page and on the tool pages, which have written content alongside the tool. They are kept off the focus timer, the full-screen clock, the activity dashboard and reports, and error pages — screens where an ad would be intrusive or where there is no content of ours to accompany it.
No. Everything runs inside the page, so closing the tab or quitting the browser cancels it. Leave the tab open — pinning it keeps it out of the way — and allow notifications for the most reliable alert.
No. Elapsed and remaining time are calculated from the system clock rather than by counting intervals, so throttling in a background tab cannot cause drift. The display may repaint less often while hidden, but the time it reports is correct.
Not reliably. The page must load over the network first, and there is currently no offline caching, so a reload without a connection will fail. Once a page is open, the tools themselves need no network to run.
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop or mobile. JavaScript is required. Two niceties degrade gracefully where a browser lacks them: keeping the screen awake during a pending alarm needs the Screen Wake Lock API, and desktop notifications need permission you grant.
Largely. Controls are real buttons, links and form fields with labels, the menu is a native dialog with proper focus handling, links are genuine anchors so they work with modifier keys, and the stopwatch has keyboard shortcuts. Live counters are deliberately not announced on every tick, since a screen reader reading out each second would be unusable.
The tools are meant to be used here rather than embedded, and there is no embed or API. Linking to any tool page directly is welcome.
Please report it. The written material on each tool page is meant to be factually correct — the ISO week rules, daylight saving behaviour, leap year handling and so on — so an error there is a real bug, not a typo. Contact details are on the About page.
